How to install "grisbi-0.5.9-i486-1chg.tgz"

Hello there,

I've tried "installpkg grisbi-0.5.9-i486-1chg.tgz", but nothing seems to happen.

This is my first *.tgz file I'm trying to install, please help me get through with any ideas.

I wouldnt advise you to install Slackware packages like that even if they come from upstream.
For example, it doesnt even state which version of Slackware this is meant for.
Judging by the date uploaded on sourceforge, which is 2005, it probably doesnt work today.
Try to create Slackbuilds for the application and its dependencies which are not part of Slackware.
Alternatively you can try to use some other financing application eg. from here: http://slackbuilds.org/result/?search=finance&sv=13.0
or http://connie.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/
