How to change VNC desktop

I have slackware 12 running VNCserver with Twm and I would like to know how I can change the configuration so when I connect to the X session that I would be able to choose what desktop I want and then continue ie" kde, twm, blackbox, fluxbox etc..."

I think there's a file called 'xstartup' where you can choose what kind of desktop you want for VNC. You have to install and run vnc once, and then alter this file.

/etc/rc.conf? I seem to remember playing with that file once or twice...but it's been a while...there's also ~/.Xinitrc I believe
