How do I install slackpkgplus in slackware-15?

I can't do it via slackpkg and the few articles that I've found online are all very old.

I notice that this package doesn't contain the /etc/slackpkg/slackpkgplus.conf and extra mirrors files. Do I have to set those up myself by running the scripts in /usr/share/doc/slackpkgplus?

There are different configuration files for x86 and x86_64.

The installation script will detect (using 'uname -m') whether your machine is 32bit or 64bit and will copy the aligning version, (with mirror list) to /etc/slackpkg/slackpkgplus.conf.new.

If there isn't an existing configuration file in that location, then the '.new' suffix is removed.

Not particularly! That article deals (quite well, I think) with slackbuilds and SBopkg, which is something a bit different.

Slackpkgplus of course. @rkelson gives the right answer.

Hi,

I actually wrote that article to help with installation of new Slackware systems with slackpkgplus and sbopkg.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/slackpkgplus/files/

This is the actual slackpkgplus repository I mentioned. Maybe it was not that obvious.
