How do I get Fedora to boot up using LILO along with Slack and XP?

I know this may sound stupid, but I just can't get it to work. I don't want to use GRUB because I've heard some stuff about it not letting me boot to my windows partition, and I really dont feel like messing with that. So I just figured I could add the right entry to LILO and it would work, but it hasn't. Here is my lilo.conf file:
Code:
boot = /dev/hde
#compact # faster, but won't work on all systems.
prompt
#timeout = 300
# VESA framebuffer console @ 1024x768x256
vga = 773
# Linux bootable partition config begins
image = /boot/vmlinuz
  root = /dev/hdf5
  label = Slack
  read-only # Non-UMSDOS filesystems should be mounted read-only for checking
append="hda=ide-scsi"
image = /boot/vmlinuz.old
  root = /dev/hdf5
  label = Old
  read-only
other = /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.358
  root = /dev/hdf7
  label = Fedora
  read-only
# Windows bootable partition config begins
other = /dev/hde1
  label = XP
  table = /dev/hde
I originally started with image at first instead of other on the Fedora part, but it didnt work. Here is the error I get whenever I run LILO:
Warning: The boot sector and map file are on different disks.
Added Slack *
Added Old
Fatal: stat /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.358: No such file or directory
If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

Assuming you're running lilo from Slack (hdf5) and from there you've mount /dev/hdf7 to /mnt/hdf7, then change the following:

other = /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.358
root = /dev/hdf7
label = Fedora

to:

other = /mnt/hdf7/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.358
root = /dev/hdf7
label = Fedora

Sweet that worked. Except I had to change other to image, because it was giving me an error about the image name being to long. I almost tried what you suggested earlier, but for some reason I didn't think it would be safe. Thanks for the help.
