Unhappy help me


i have slackware 8.1 whit soun on bord (ac97) and i don't have driver for it.
How can i install it?
please tell me one location for driver.

Did you try to type sndconfig in a terminal to configure your sound?
Anyway, search for your driver in www.google.com/linux

Take a look specifically in this thread which uses the alsa drivers: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ght=sound+ac97 and another link directly to the instruction for alsa drivers, etc at http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc...module=via82xx

And hfawzy,

The utility sndconfig is not available in Slackware. Its more of a specific Redhat utility and which several other distro's like Mandrake used at one time or another as well...

In the future, try to make your titles better and more helpful, "help" in the title doesn't describe your specific problem. We all know you need help apparently if your asking a question. Reagards.
