I had been compling my own kernel since version 2.6.8 (alright I'll admit it wasn't that long to use since).Evertime I compline a kernel I download entire file unzip it and recompile it all using my main .config file.It always was a long painful process.Now that I saw kernel 2.6.11.4 ( I got 2.6.11)and some patch file in kernel.org(I always saw it but never knew what to do with it).I was thinking (bad ,very bad)I can use that patch for 2.6.11.4 and just patch the main (2.6.11) kernel folder and recompile it?(it would save me about 2 hours).Or do I have to do everything like all before and patch are for pro only?
