goofy components on desktop

Hello.

Two questions:

Why do I have two home directories on my xfce desktop, one of which contains what it's supposed to and the other containing what seems to be a text file with the following (in mixed colors):

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Home
Name[af]=Tuiste
Name [ar]= . . . (etc.)

And why do my "USBSLACK" and Floppy Drive shortcuts tell me "Mount failed; unable to mount [e.g., "USBSLACK":]"?

Didn't you have some weirdness with your home directory before? Maybe the two are related?

I've noticed a similar but different oddity.

Yesterday after burning the slack13.1 dvd, the icon "SlackDVD" appeared on my desktop... twice.

After ejecting the CD, one icon remains, and I can't find a simple way how to remove it (other than 'hiding all removable devices' from the xfce settings).
