Hello,

I just wanted to know how to pull up my own ip address in slack. I want to try something with telnet and want to pull it up to try it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Run 'ifconfig'. You'll get something like this:
Code:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
          inet addr:192.168.1.3 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:21005 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:22252 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:10 txqueuelen:100
          RX bytes:10028284 (9.5 Mb) TX bytes:7504228 (7.1 Mb)
          Interrupt:11 Base address:0xe800

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
          RX packets:44 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:44 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:2560 (2.5 Kb) TX bytes:2560 (2.5 Kb)
The IP address is in bold.
