Question geting WC3 and HL working

Hi there,

My second post on this Forum. This time more complicated stuff. I like to get both games working on my Linux box.
After messing around, reading posts and some articels I conclude folowing: It is possible.
Accoriding to my reading I need WineX. So I got it. Next I folowed instructions to get this HL installed and it worked directly. (it is all ready geting amazing). But after instalation I was not there yet I get some configuration problems, like just part of my screen was used and after closing HL and restarting it again it did not started. And error that I recived was: "could not validate Half-Life". what the hell have to be validate?

my PC specs:
it is Compaq (PC from my work, I am using it as 'test' PC ) EVO D31m/P2A/40/p/256d EUROA4
I put in it additional 256 RAM.
there is an defult on board video card.

any hints?

Darek
