Get Slack to ask for root password

In some distributions, Mandrake and Fedora, they ask you for root password when needed. Is there any settings in Slackware to activate this feature?

Is it a security risk?

if you're looking for GUI dialogs with programs search for gksu and install it if it's what you're looking for. You would then just run programs that need root privileges by appending gksu to the front of the command

Code:
gksu programname

If you install Dropline Gnome, you will get this same behavior.
