gdb buggy in slackware 14 rc3?

Getting something like this while debugging programs:

warning: Could not load shared library symbols for linux-gate.so.1.
Do you need "set solib-search-path" or "set sysroot"?

Can anyone reproduce this and what does it mean?

You are not the only one who came across it, I noticed it too. It won't be fixed until upstream decide who is responsible for this (see 1, 2).
