fuse3 package upgrade overwrites config file

The fuse3 package in slackware64-current, including the latest fuse3-3.9.0-x86_64-1 version, overwrites /etc/fuse.conf when upgradepkg is called on it.

It would be much better if it did the conventional thing when upgrading where a user version has been provided, and install the configuration file in /etc/fuse.conf.new.

Perhaps that should be the default on all doinst.sh scripts?

I think it normally is for configuration files. It seems to be a bug in the build script, which is what prompted me to post about it.

Install fuse.conf as fuse.conf.new. This won't prevent an existing config
file from being overwritten with this upgrade, but it will prevent that
from happening again moving forward. Thanks to chrisVV.

Queue in the Twilight Zone theme song. Kind of eerie at times how fast Pat responds to this forum.
