Fluxbox config

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the background in fluxbox. I have used fbsetbg and the image is just in the middle, I want to know how to make it span the whole screen. Thank you.

It's "fbsetbg -f <filename>"

if you have more questions about fbsetbg try "man fbsetbg"

Put this command in your ~/.fluxbox/init file to get it to automatically show bacground at startup after your 1st use.

session.screen0.rootCommand: fbsetbg -l (The -l means use the previously used wallpaper)(thats an L not an i)

Esetroot (you'll need to install eterm for this) is what I use.

Just add the following to .xinitrc
Code:
Esetroot -scale /path/to/wallpaper.jpg &
You can also add the following to your fluxbox menu to give you the opportunity to choose wallpapers from the menu.
Code:
[submenu](wallpaper){}
         [wallpapers](/your/wallpaper/directory){Esetroot -scale}
[end]

Slit?

I am really wanting to use the slit. Does anyone have any experience with this? I could not find much about it in my fluxbox documentation.

spaceballs the slit is designed for windowmaker's dockapps or programs that support this. You can download a lot from:
http://www.bensinclair.com/dockapp/
http://web.cs.mun.ca/~gstarkes/wmaker/dockapps/
http://www.dockapps.org/

Quote from Fluxbox page:
Quote:
Dockapps are a small (useful|funny) applications which will 'dock' onto the Fluxbox Slit.
Learn more (http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/docbo...chap-slit.html) about slit.
