flash and firefox? slack 11

I can't get flash to work in firefox...

I have copied the files to every location I can find..but no luck.

I have the 2 flash files in the following places:

/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/
/usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.7/plugiins/
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
/home/x/.mozilla/plugins/
/home/x/.mozilla/firefox/plugins/
/home/x/.firefox/plugins/

I couldn't find any other place to try and I rebooted the system between the install and still no luck.

Usually ~/.mozilla/plugins is ok. Does
Code:
about:plugins
show it loaded?

I get the following:

MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled
application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes
application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes

So I am guessing it does thing it is loaded... wierd. I am trying to load www.spiketv.com and it just keeps going to the adobe site.

Is it one particular site or many?

*Edit: that site does the same for me so it's the site I'm afraid. Maybe when we get a flash 8 it will work...

There is also a project called gnash in development which will be an OSS flash/shockwave player, but there are still problems with sound atm.
