You may not have Gksu installed by default. It is good for making program buttons, too - because of the authentication box popping up. Nice UI feature.

Great THANKS. This is a great forum.
I'll try GKsu. Only other problem is that I don't always know the correct names of apps. Often get "command not found" message, 'like File Roller'.
