The broken port is not fatal though I think USB chipset designers are
smart enough to include error checking in their products.
I have not get why the ehci-hcd is not loaded, it is not sure
that it would be related to your broken port
Also the mix UHCI/OHCI seem a bit curious to me, I always
see you have to choose between both in kernel config
but not both, I have not an additional USB PCI card though
I use only the motherboard chipset.
Is your broken port on the additional USB card or on the
USB ports provided by your motherboard ?
