Errors installing imlib2 (dependency issue?)

Hi all,

I'm in the process of setting up my desktop (in FluxBox) and I need feh to display the background. And one of feh's dependencies is imlib2. Since I did not do a full install of Slackware (yeah, I know...), I only have imlib. The README in imlib2's directory states only three dependencies: Freetype, libjpeg and libpng, all of which are taken care of according to my /var/log/packages file. But the 'make' step produces two errors over and over again: '/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.la seems to have moved' and '/usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.la seems to have moved'. Naturally I investigated the appropriate directory and found them right where they should be. I've downloaded the source two separate times and I keep getting these errors. What gives?

imlib2 doesn't ship with slackware anyway. Try slackbuilds.org for the slackbuild.

Well that was easy. I knew about SlackBuilds but I didn't think to look there for this. Thanks.

Give 'sbopkg' a try. It's an NCurses interface to manage package building from SBo very comfortably. I use it all the time and just love it.

Cool, I'll give it a shot. It's awesome to discover all these cool programs. It's a whole other world outside of Ubuntu!
