err, eth0: netlink: No such process


During my startup I saw this line;

Code:
err, eth0: netlink: No such process
My internet connection went down when I log on to my system.Any idea on this problem.I use realtek RTL8211CL network card,the built-in network card in my inspiron 1440.

First thought is this is a laptop. I think by default Dell turns off the Ethernet port when not connected to a power source,but I can't recall if this is a bios or OS setting.

Sorry not sitting in front of my laptop right now or I would check.

It's OS setting.I did not tick on "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" in my NIC's device setting.I can't find such setting in BIOS.

I tried other slackware version like slackware current,but it still returns the same error.However,it works seamlessly with kubuntu 9.04.Any idea on this incident?
