end trace? wtf?

slackware 14.2 x64 KDE

boot sequence stops at end trace. can someone please help me with this?

Very unlikely, with just that information. A picture of the screen could maybe help, as well as knowing if that happened on a fresh installation or after a modification of the system and then which one.

The end trace sounds like the end of a dump from the Linux kernel.

And this usually means that there is a problem accessing the root partition.

Are you using lilo or grub?

It might help to use the kernel-huge instead of the kernel-generic.
