Enable backlit keyboard led at boot time?

I know that
Code:
xset led 3
works but if possible I want to enable the lights before starting X. Is that possible? How can I go about it?

Hello,

You can try with acpi_backlight=video|vendor|native as stated here.

I don't know if that's quite what I'm looking for. But I tried all of those options anyway and they didn't work. This is a USB keyboard by the way, not a laptop.
