Cool Docker containers

Who here runs a Docker setup on their Slackware? How is it working for you?

I've been running my own under a daemontools svc, to run some development containers (usually spawned via fig.)

I have been. Are you building your own binaries or using http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.1/system/docker/ ? Feel free to provide feedback. A few others have been.

https://hub.docker.com/u/slackware/ official images are not yet automated due to a few less than ideal aspects of the triggered builds.

but I have been keeping my images fairly up-to-date, https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/vbatts/slackware/
including a few versions on different tags. So you can `docker run -it vbatts/slackware:current bash`, etc.

Nice! I didn't build my own nor used a SlackBuild, actually I just get the latest build from the project itself into /usr/local/bin and let a daemontools svc maintain it. I should probably switch to the SlackBuild soon though...

Yeah, it would be good to see official images for Slackware! What difficulties are being encountered about the triggered builds?

Yep, I think I saw your images before, and I was inspired to make a very minimal one myself, primarily for some server deployment experiments, and to try out some other software in a small Slackware sandbox...
