D-Bus install confusion?

Can anyone guide me through an install of D-Bus on slack 11? I get it built, but when when i try to install the glib binding none of the files seem to be where they should be.

An example would be trying to compile the new gaim, "../../src/dbus-bindings.h:31:37: dbus/dbus-glib-lowlevel.h: No such file or directory" Do you install the binding before or after the D-Bus package or completly different?

Thanks

You need to install the core of DBus (SlackBuild here) first, and then the GLib bindings for DBus (SlackBuild here).

You can also find packages & slackbuilds for dbus-0.93 (as well as a bunch of other things) here: http://slackpacks.rlworkman.net/

Well I downladed the packages, and im lost, sorry for my noobness, but I usually build from source... and well I don't really have much experence with slackbuilds at least these kinds.

What I did was download the package from slackbuilds.net, extracted it and "./dbus.SlackBuild" it downloaded a dbus file and said somthing like don't run this file as root in french, at least that is what the translator said on google.

From there do I build the package like normal, "./configure, make, make install"? Or is the package susposted to pop it out in .tgz in /tmp?

Thanks

Run the dbus.SlackBuild script as your non-root user. When it needs root privileges to build the package with makepkg, it uses either fakeroot or su. Once it finishes, you should find the Slackware package in /tmp/build/.
