-current: upgrade woes continue

back on machine 1. Yesterday I was on -current as of 22nd of July, and everything appeared fine.

After the nightly rsync sessions I upgraded this morning to -current as of 25th of July. I also upgraded Eric's multilib packages.

This evening none of my Secondlife viewers works. Two of them are 32 bit applications, one is 64 bit. Excerpt from the log:

Code:

Obviously something to do with fonts and sorting of those.
I waded through 22 MB strace output, but it doesn't help much. There's lots of fontconfig cache reading, followed by the abort.

deleting ~/.fontconfig just re-generates it, but the crash still occurs.

Anyone have an idea?

OK, after some googeling I found a workaround: reverting fontconfig (and fontconfig-compat32) back to version 2.8.0 (as shipped with Slackware 13.37) solves the issue.
