The issue has been reported here. It is necessary to compile tmux from the master branch in github, against ncurses>=6.4-20230424. I compiled it and created a package using the slackbuild and other files in slackware64-current/source/ap/tmux. I created tmux-fda3937.tar.xz because fda3937 was the last commit in my git clone. Briefly, I did:

Code:
mkdir /tmp/tmux-build
cd /tmp/tmux-build
lftp https://mirrors.slackware.com -e "mirror -v -X *mirrorlist -X *sign /slackware/slackware64-current/source/ap/tmux"
mkdir tmux-github
cd tmux-github/
git clone https://github.com/tmux/tmux.git
mv tmux tmux-fda3937
tar -cJf tmux-fda3937.tar.xz tmux-fda3937
cp tmux-fda3937.tar.xz ../tmux/
cd ../tmux
rm tmux-3.3a.tar.lz
su -
# cd /tmp/tmux-build/tmux
# chmod u+x tmux.SlackBuild
# ./tmux.SlackBuild
# upgradepkg /tmp/tmux-fda3937-x86_64-1.txz
