-current KDE Why defualt home web page for Konqueror is not set?
I think it would be good to put something into default Konqueror configuration file as its home web page -in case user forget to set home page by itself. Now there is no value for Settings -> Configure Konqueror -> General -> Home page. This is minor issue. But to point Konqueror by default to some fixed place would help user to realize that it is expected this filed should not be left blank. Maybe some html document say with info about Slackware version, KDE version and reminder to set properly home web page for Konqueror.
On 14.2, it seems the default is having the homepage set to http://www.kde.org (and "When Konqueror starts" to "Show Introduction Page"). At least that is what it is set to on my system, and I'm pretty sure I never adjusted the defaults (if so, I likely would've set it to a different site that I would frequently use, certainly not kde.org).

It does have a default site set "http://www.kde.org". It's simple enough to set "When Konqueror starts:" to something other than "Show Introduction Page". If you click the "Home Page" icon it takes you to http://www.kde.org.

Now there is no default home page set. I verified this on new user account - the first KDE run does not set some web page as default. End if being empty causes showing web page with witless error message I posted here https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...or-4175653503/. For me it is bug - field being empty is rising exception - but things seems messed up - this why appears 'error' protocol.

This seems like an issue with your system, because both me and chrisretusn seem to have kde.org loaded as the default homepage (I have 14.2 and he has -current). I know you tried with a new user, but it might be worth trying in a VM with a clean install, because it seems like your issue is not seen on other installs.
