I've been reading up on liveslak usb keys. I downloaded the liveslak xfce variant, & iso2usb.sh, and took a testdrive; it looks cool.
I want to reinstall it with:
- xfce as before
- Multilib
- wine (for 32 bit software, or the 32/64 one alien does)
- the biggest encrypted /home possible on an "8g" (=7.2G) usb disk.
I gather everything's neatly tucked away in images which expand, and it's my first experiment with any form of encryption, so that's a separate story but I'll suffer that. I realize I'll have to roll my own iso and burn that to disk. My ram, and swap are 6G
In case anyone's wondering with the encrypted partition, wine will be using totally legal library distributed in many languages. It's an encryption learning experience.
