If we're collecting fix suggestions for slack-desc files, I noticed a few minor things:

pan:
> pan: This is PAN, a powerful and user-friendly USENET newsreader based on

I believe Pan now builds for GTK+3, so the desc shouldn't really specify a GTK version. Maybe either remove the "2", or grab the appropriate-looking three-line description from the top of their website.
