./configure fails for ktechlab-0.3.7 in 13.37

Hi.

I've been trying to ./configure && make && make install ktechlab-0.3.7 in slackware 13.37 but no luck so far. When trying to ./configure I get:

Code:
checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE libraries installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!
I have tried installing kdelibs3-devel from here by using rpm2tgz, because I read at some forum that installing kdelibs3-devel fixes the problem, and there is no kdelibs3-devel in slackbuilds.org or slacky.eu...

Anyway, after installpkg kdelibs3-devel-3.5.9-49.2.i586.tgz I get

Code:
I can't find the designer plugins. These are required and should have been installed
by kdelibs
There are no howtos online about installing ktechlab in slackware 13.37, nor are there slackbuilds. There is an old slackware package, but I also tried that one with no luck: after running installpkg on the slacky tgz I get:

Code:
ktechlab: error while loading shared libraries: libkutils.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
When trying to run "ktechlab" from the terminal.

So... I'm pretty much lost right now.

Help? Anyone?

that version of ktechlab is still kde3-based: work is in progress on github for a kde4/qt4 port.

I've tried, just for fun, to assemble a quick slackbuild and seems to build fine (*not* on alien bob's kde, seems a function has been deprecated on that kdevelop and hasn't been fixed on the github repo yet), but yet functionalities are completely untested

I had to install kdelibs-4.5.5-i486-2.txz from here for your ktechlab-20120121_6971da3.tar.xz to build correctly. I noticed some of the features are missing, like creating .circuit files, placing components, simulation and other stuff mentioned in the user's guide, but that's just because it's, as you say, still "work in progress", right? or am I doing something wrong?

from the roadmap link on the main sourceforge page of the project

http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawik...Project_Status

so, either you can wait until there's a working 0.4 (I've got no idea when, the developers suggest to check the mailing list) or, if you need it real bad, you can have a try in removing the kde4 packages from slackware-13.37 and install kde-3.5.10 (remember it's a kde application, it works only with kde installed) that alekow kindly built for you (I just have a mirror of it)
after, you will probably be able to build 0.3.7 (but it's untested, so I cannot assure you that will work 100%).
