16GB memory

I can't get past this bit:

I'd be unhappy to think this can't be easily bypassed, but I haven't yet thought of a simple approach.

Perusing the official Slackware build script for firefox, it looks like Pat does this differently.

# Build or unpack build-time dependencies:
. ./build-deps.sh

I've never attempted to build FF myself, but it's complex enough that if I did try it, I would use Pat's scripts as the starting point.
