cinelerra video editor loads then hangs 64 bit current

I wonder if anybody can help with cinelerra issue.

I'm normally a stable man but pushed the boat out and now using 64 bit current 4.19.75
.
For packages i'm using slpkg and have edited /etc/slpkg/slpkg so that
RELEASE=current

slpkg -t sbo cinelerra --check-deps --graph=image.jpg gives image attached

packages i installed are as follows:

libquicktime-1.2.4-x86_64-3ponce
libdv-1.0.0-x86_64-2ponce
imlib2-1.5.1-x86_64-1ponce
mjpegtools-2.1.0-x86_64-1ponce
libavc1394-0.5.4-x86_64-1ponce
faac-1.28-x86_64-3ponce
libmp4v2-2.0.0-x86_64-1ponce
x264-20170225-x86_64-1ponce
faad2-2.7-x86_64-2ponce
lame-3.100-x86_64-1dj
libiec61883-1.2.0-x86_64-2ponce
ffmpeg-4.2-x86_64-1
openal-soft-1.18.0-x86_64-1dj
cinelerra-2.3-x86_64-2_SBo

the cinelerra gui loads and progress bar for initializing is about 95%
command line launch and output gives below then hangs :
There is absolutely no warranty for Cinelerra-CV.

first of all let me say that I'm hoping that you are not using my personal packages repository with a package manager and you are instead building them from source: if you are using my prebuilt packages please check the README.txt in the directory from which you, supposedly, downloaded those packages
Code:
personal packages repository for slackware64-current
--------------------------------------------------

this is my personal repository for slackware64-current: these are
the packages I use on my own installations.
you are free to use this stuff but there are no guarantees they
will work for you (in particular if used with packages from other
third party repositories), nor I take any responsibility if your
cat is harmed during their use. :)
if not yet clear, this means this repository is *UNSUPPORTED*.

you can check for dependencies on SlackBuilds.org if you need
single packages (optional dependencies might be also required), but
all you need besides a current full default installation should
be already in this folder.
MANDATORY: install the full set, package managers are *UNSUPPORTED*
too ;)
also, it looks like you are mixing packages from different repositories, that could also lead to breakage.

that said, the cinelerra version on SBo segfaults here too on slackware64-current in a way very similar to yours, so I tried to update it to the latest version from cinelerra-gg.org (looks like cinelerra-cv.org is kaput): if you want to give the build script a try it's here (I tested it here and the resulting application doesn't segfault)

hi Ponce i really appreciate your packages and also from other contributors i just did a new 64 bit current install on a brand new laptop. I read the precaution notes but was prepared for breaks etc . Normally i do everything from builds but wanted to play with slpkg a bit so went about things on a slight experimental basis so no complaints

I did take your advice on mixed packages though , i choose cinelerra from slonly and sat back to see if slpkg would sort out deps - it did ! cinelerra is now working
