Change keyboard map in XFCE

how do i change my keyboard map in XFCE?
i am in the UK and therefore using a UK map,
when i installed slack i set qwerty UK and everything works ok in Command Line

i changed it iun KDE and again everything is fine tehre, but in XFCE it has defaulted to an american map, this is really anoying as certian keys that are used a bit in linux such as # and ~ are in differt places,

is thais in some .conf file (and if so which)
or a setting somwher ein teh options menu (if so where)

thanks
Dan

There is a keyboard section in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. This is the relevant section of my file:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "gb"
EndSection

I suggest you edit the file in console mode and then startx for the change to have effect.

Best of luck.
