Huh. I'm about out of ideas. Maybe something to do with the floppy. Did you try running the k3b setup?

k3b setup just brings me to a permissions window, I'm running this as root.

may be the floppy, all i know is that i'm closer now then before, it's actually writing 1 mb to cd.

edit: ok changed dreiver from mcc-raw to auto. I'm at 1% in simulation mode, burning at 682 kb/sec, full buffer.

methinks we got it.
