cant activate UDMA


hi there,
i cant activate UDMA on my second HDD (400GB)
probably i didnt select right modul
can you help me?
on this machine i have 1 scsi and 1 non scsi hdd

Please post the output of:

hdparm <the disk in question>
and
hdparm -d1 <the disk in question>

Where is special option in kernel configuration to enable DMA by default.
device drivers - ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support (kernel 2.6) - Use PCI DMA by default when availible.
If it not helps try to recompile kernel with your chipset support with disabled "Generic/Default IDE support".

now even cannot detect HDD ((((
and when i do make:

i think you should use Intel PIIXn chipset support because

and
<*> Adaptec AIC7xxx Fast -> U160 support (New Driver)

If you don't need it disable reiserfs debug mode. it slows down system. just leave reiserfs support.

Warnings is not ERRORS. So just relax while your kernel is compiling.
