can,t run kde as normal user.

I try to upgrade kde 3.3.1 to kde 3.3.2 and even if I use the packages from slackware.com I get the error messages of kdeinit not found when I do startx. And if I use kde 3.3.2 from kde.org I can,t use autologin with kde, so I always had to do startx to make kde work. Well, Now I return to kde.org packages kde 3.3.1 and when i run startx as root, kde runs perfect, but when i run startx as a normal user I got a black screen for about 2 seconds then it push my out to a terminal and I get the error:

(WW) VESA(0): Failed to set up write-combining range (0xf3c00000,0x3f0000)

I run startx with fluxbox, and xfce and they both run fine is a kde issue I don,t know what to do.

I think it's a permission problem. let's assume your username was "bob", you'll need to change it for whatever your username is, as root do this.

chown -R bob /home/bob
