I can download the torrent file, but after I open the torrent and try to download the DVD ISO is where the problem begins. It connects to peers, it starts to download and then it stalls -- I mean the whole bit torrent program stalls/freezes. And all this happens in a few seconds up to 1 minute.
I've tried it using both rtorrent and transmission. I've tried it on ubuntu and on arch linux. -- It's the same thing every time.
I don't appear to be having the problem and I'm using BitTorrent 4.4.0. All I'm getting is an error message ("error(s):[09:12:13] Could not load fastresume data: invalid literal for int() with base 10: '1304236485.55' Will perform full hash check."), but download seems to be fine.
I wonder if my ISP started throtteling torents, I was getting ~150k and the estimated time was 17 hours. Downloaded straight from alienbob and it was less than an hour.
