Question Building Jack CD ripper

I'm trying to build jack CD ripper for a blind friend, since he is actually limited to the command line because.

I've tried to follow the installation instructions, but I haven't managed to succeed. The instructions tells me to install the python CDDB and id3 which I've done by writing Slackbuild compatible buildscripts.

When I tried to launch jack, I got a message about another missing dependency pyid3lib which again depended on id3lib. I did build a Slackbuild compatible buildscript for pyid3lib, and fetched the SBo script for id3lib.

Now I'm completley stuck, since I don't get any output I can use. I've followed the instructions and more, and now even not google is any help (all I get is some guys which thought jack was the same as the «jack audio kit» when they tried to install ardour). This is my output:

Code:
ben@Muspellsheim:~$ jack
 *warning* ogg module not installed, ogg support disabled
This is jack 3.1.1 (C)2004 Arne Zellentin <zarne@users.sf.net>
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/jack_functions.py", line 134, in gettoc
    exec(jack_helpers.helpers[toc_prog]['toc_fkt'])
  File "<string>", line 4, in <module>
error: (5, 'Input/output error')
Trouble reading the disk's TOC. If you already ripped the CD, you'll have to
cd into the created directory which is either named after the CD's title
or still called jack-xxxxxxxx (xxxxxxxx is a hex number).
and
Code:
ben@Muspellsheim:~$ jack --debug
 *warning* ogg module not installed, ogg support disabled
This is jack 3.1.1 (C)2004 Arne Zellentin <zarne@users.sf.net>
 *debug* global_cf: {}
 *debug* user_cf: {}
 *debug* argv_cf: {'debug': {'val': True}}
 *debug* username is ben
 *debug* hostname is Muspellsheim
 *debug* mail is ben@Muspellsheim, was default / @
 *debug* multi_mode:0
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/jack_functions.py", line 134, in gettoc
    exec(jack_helpers.helpers[toc_prog]['toc_fkt'])
  File "<string>", line 4, in <module>
error: (5, 'Input/output error')

I guess the details of my buildscripts are just to much to paste. But I basically did a python setup.py build and python setup.py install --root $PKG to build and install the packages. I also did a mv jack $PKG/usr/bin/ for the jack package.

I hope you guys have some ideas
