when I try to start kdetv xwindow crashes and kills itself then i tried xawtv it works but it couldn't find any channel and its output is
#your x server has no DGA support
#cannot convert string"-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type fontstruct
Then İ enable DGA support by fglrxconfig but this time any of tv programmes dont work

The fglrx driver seems to have some issues with bttv. I would recommend trying tvtime since its the only app i've managed to watch tv with when using the fglrx driver. Xawtv and every other app works but only with the standard xorg ATI driver

Have you tried the default (non proprietary) drivers for ati or radeon ?
