I've try to installed bootsplash on my slack 10 ( patch the 2.6.8.1 kernel installed a slack package for the bootsplash , and fllowed the instrutions ) this it doesmīt work.
After lilo screen appears, the resolution is switch and the system start's booting, from the messages I can get that there an error loading the first image, and the RAM disk is not working
-- go over your instructions and verify that you compiled in everything they mentioned - this is in reference to you stating that the ramdisk is not working...
you say there is an error loading the first image -- can you be more specific?
fyi, i run slack 10 w/ kernel 2.6.8.1 (x2), and in one location i have a bootsplash, so i know this can be done...
ok, i will go over the kernel stuff, about the image i guess the problem is that the has a mismatch type or something like that, there is a way to i get the boot log to paste here?
btw after the first image and ram disk error the "animate" commands give me the following error "Canīt connect to X server".
