booting slackware with GRUB under Linode KVM ?

Is there anybody out there who got a custom Slackware 14.1 VM running at full-virtualization under KVM Linode and booting with GRUB 2 ? Whatever i do, the GRUB boot results in kernel panic - while unfortunately Lish doesn't provide enough info to get a clue what went wrong early on in the boot process. I have to use a custom kernel & distro because I need to get a 2nd VM (win81) with Virtualbox up and running within that Linode based Slackware VM.

- i created the Slackware VM in Virtualbox 5.0.2
- i used ext4 in the VM.
- i invoked grub-install and grub-mkconfig after installation
- i copied a missing en@quote.mo to en.mo in /boot/grub/local/
- i made the necessary adjustments in /etc/default/grub
- i followed hopefully all points suggested in :

https://www.linode.com/docs/tools-re...ernel-with-kvm
https://www.linode.com/docs/tools-re...-on-kvm-linode

many thanks in advance for any advice !

here the entire LISH output :

Here a solution for the problem after I received a tip at stackoverflow.
I had to modify the stock 3.10.17 slack kernel in VirtualBox and add KVM guest under Processor features and Linux guest support. Here the difference :

diff /boot/config-huge-3.10.17*

336c336,339
< # CONFIG_PARAVIRT is not set
---
> CONFIG_PARAVIRT=y
> # CONFIG_PARAVIRT_DEBUG is not set
> CONFIG_PARAVIRT_SPINLOCKS=y
> # CONFIG_XEN is not set
337a341,343
> CONFIG_KVM_GUEST=y
> CONFIG_PARAVIRT_TIME_ACCOUNTING=y
> CONFIG_PARAVIRT_CLOCK=y

The kernel finally booted in Linode in KVM and full virtualization - but ONLY after all /dev/sda1 occurrences in /boot/grub/grub.cfg were changed to /dev/sda following Linode's protocol and using its Finnix rescue mode.

It's stange that these are not set in the default kernels. I run vm's under qemu using kvm (-enable-kvm) quite regularly with no troubles and usually I change very little with the config when I build kernels. I'm glad you got things working, wish I could have helped. I do think I need to audit my kernel configs to see whether I'm setting any of those items and just not remembering right now.
