bmp media player

I am using bmp with dropline at the newest version.

The playlist displays my songs in a really large font and I can't find a place to change it to a normal size. Can anyone help?

Edit: I'm a doof, I found it right under preferences.

Thanks!
I thought something was wrong with my fonts rendering in DLG2.6. But just for information, alsaplayer is really great. Loved it. Try it out!

Ok now I'm trying to install some plugins for bmp but they wont install.

They're looking for xmms and since they can't find it they wont install.

This is the problem part trying to install the xmms-itouch plugin. Any suggestions?

checking for xmms-config... no
checking for XMMS - version >= 1.2.0... no
*** The xmms-config script installed by XMMS could not be found.
*** If XMMS was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the XMMS_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to xmms-config.
configure: error: *** XMMS >= 1.2.0 not installed - please install first ***

install xmms with this package...

http://www.slackware.com/pb/?vers=sl...-1.2.10-i486-1

Go back to the plugin...

rerun "./configure" and it should finish without error.

Then run:

make
su #switch to root
make install #installs to the system wide install of xmms
exit #you don't want to be root for the next step.
cp /usr/local/lib/xmms/General/libitouch.* ~/.bmp/Plugins/ #copies over to BMP
su #switch to root again...
pkgtool #time to remove XMMS, go to uninstall package and find XMMS from the list, select it and hit "OK"

Then restart BMP if it is running...

Done.

If the plugin fails to work it might not be able to work with BMP..

I followed your instructions exactly.

i-touch doesn't even show up as an option under General or anywhere in bmp. Guess I'll wait till it matures a little more.

To bad..

While BMP is mostly XMMS code... it breaks a lot of stuff under the hood. They clame to have full compatability with XMMS skins/plugins but this is not the first time I have seen people catching bugs like this.

I found this bug...

roll up the playlist (shade the window), then unroll it by dubble clicking the bar (not by clicking the unshade button). Watch as BMP crashes.
