Bluetooth?


Hi
I cant get it to run, I have a Bluetooth mouse and I have the blue man in the panel of KDE, but when I click on it it is greyd out. rc.bluetooth is started make executible with chmod +x.

What are I´m missing? Some help should be fine. I run Slackware 14.1 with KDE.

I know this is a silly question, but does a bt mouse need pairing?

No I doesn't, it just uses bluetooth for communication(trough its own usb dongle). I also had the same/similar problem, had to go back to the 3.4 kernel to make it work. If you find you device with hciconfig but can't "hciconfig hciX up" or can't see find it in "hcitool dev" then you could try using the 3.4 kernel.
I don't know if this will work for you since I don't know if you're facing the same problem that I had. My "hciconfig hci0 up" showed something like "cannot init device, not supported(95)"
