UrbanTerror (sort of like counterstrike for linux)
Alien Arena (needs to be built from source for x86_64 which isn't hard at all)
Nexuiz (Deathmatch game, new version 2.5.2 make sure you modify the slackbuild to the new version and get the new sources)
Smokin' Guns (Cowboy Deathmatch game, Download the version 1.0 and then extract the patched version 1.1 binaries to the game directory)
PySolFC (LOADS of different ways to play solitaire)
Battle for Wesnoth (Turn based strategy game with rpg elements)
Darkplaces Engine for Quake 1 (Helps port Quake 1 to linux with many graphical enhancements, be sure to rename the ID1 folder to id1 and the PAK0.PAK and PAK1.PAK to pak0.pak and pak1.pak respectively)
I would suggest Nexuiz (sp?) and for the teen Urban Terror is good. (Not as violent as the name sounds. Good for online) Also Super Tux looks fun.
Also there are older (abandon ware) games from the old DOS days that I still run on DOSBox Like Pharoahs Tomb (similar to Mario) Duke Nukem Stellar7. To name a few.
Also being a kid from late 70s to early 80s, the arcade emulators are must for me. MAME (arcade) Stella(Atari2600) FNES(Nitendo) Fusion(Sega - Need WINE)
Lastly for the younger ones (and older too given I play it all the time) , I use WINE and play Wizard 101. It's online and the creators have went out of their way to make it a kid's safe haven. No cussing, VERY restrictive chat mode (can't even use numbers). It cost eventually but you can play for a month or so pretty steady for free no credit card info or anything. And even if you do decide to go into the pay sections, its just 7-8 bucks monthly. My youngest (twins) started playing it and I started so I could stay in touch with them when they started college this past Aug. Now I'm the only one still playing LOL.
I tried to build it but failed to build 'ogre' other than v1.7, unfortunately funguloids didn't compile with that version. Or maybe something else was missing.
I second this one, it's probably one of the best FPS games I've played. I don't know exactly what it is that makes it good, but it's better than any other FPS I've played on Linux.
