Yeah, Prey is a good FPS game and it runs in natively in linux very well thanks to icculus.org. Anyone who likes Doom3 or Quake4 will like Prey. You can buy it pretty cheap these days at Amazon or wherever you find it.
Here is a good guide for Prey if anyone is interested:

http://www.rubberninjas.com/
- better graphics, custom fighters & weapons

http://www.ragdollsoft.com/ragdollmasters/
- love the combo system

playable under wine, needs newer version of sdl.dll (http://www.libsdl.org/). Blood/gore levels can be adjusted.

absolutely love both games!

NONE of my favorite three games were mentioned! I'm a pretty hardcore gamer and quite surprised that these were missed:

Heroes of Newerth - the best game offering for linux hands down. S2 has done a great job with that one. It's a team based RTS. Good game for teens and older.

Vendetta Online - A space MMORPG. It's kinda boring at first, but it's a cool game. And made by a team of four!

TeeWorlds - A face paced online side-scroller. Probably the best for the 'tweens.

Bonus note:

Starcraft - Already mentioned that you can play in wine, but ICCup was not mentioned. With some minimal graphical glitches in the Battle.net interface, you can play on the league servers. The best of the best play in there, but you don't have to be good to play. And you can always get a game. Everything you need is on the ICCup website, including the Starcraft executables.

Cheers and happy gaming!

Thanks!

Do you mind if I copy your packages to my own public repo?

Hey poncez,

Is there any way you could build bloodfrontier? I tried but getting this annoying "libSDL.so.2 can not open shared library error", maybe you got an idea how to fix this?

you can try this patch for 64 bit slackbuild.
Code:
*** bloodfrontier.orig/src/Makefile     2009-12-12 18:33:49.850629047 +0100
--- bloodfrontier/src/Makefile  2009-12-12 18:36:16.021033167 +0100
***************
*** 1,5 ****
  #CXXFLAGS= -ggdb3
! CXXFLAGS= -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer
  override CXXFLAGS+= -Wall -fsigned-char

  PLATFORM= $(shell uname -s)
--- 1,5 ----
  #CXXFLAGS= -ggdb3
! CXXFLAGS= -O3 -fPIC -fomit-frame-pointer
  override CXXFLAGS+= -Wall -fsigned-char

  PLATFORM= $(shell uname -s)
***************
*** 22,28 ****
  CLIENT_LIBS= -mwindows -lmingw32 -Llib -lSDLmain -lSDL -lSDL_image -lSDL_mixer -lzdll -lopengl32 -lenet -lws2_32 -lwinmm
  else
  CLIENT_INCLUDES= -DINTERFACE -DIRC $(INCLUDES) -I/usr/X11R6/include `sdl-config --cflags`
! CLIENT_LIBS= -Lenet -lenet -L/usr/X11R6/lib `sdl-config --libs` -lSDL_image -lSDL_mixer -lz -lGL
  endif
  ifeq ($(PLATFORM),Linux)
  CLIENT_LIBS+= -lrt
--- 22,28 ----
  CLIENT_LIBS= -mwindows -lmingw32 -Llib -lSDLmain -lSDL -lSDL_image -lSDL_mixer -lzdll -lopengl32 -lenet -lws2_32 -lwinmm
  else
  CLIENT_INCLUDES= -DINTERFACE -DIRC $(INCLUDES) -I/usr/X11R6/include `sdl-config --cflags`
! CLIENT_LIBS= -Lenet -lenet -L/usr/X11R6/lib64 `sdl-config --libs` -lSDL_image -lSDL_mixer -lz -lGL
  endif
  ifeq ($(PLATFORM),Linux)
  CLIENT_LIBS+= -lrt
***************
*** 105,111 ****
  default: all

  enet/Makefile:
!       cd enet; chmod +x ./configure; ./configure

  libenet: enet/Makefile
        $(MAKE) -C enet/ all
--- 105,111 ----

  libenet: enet/Makefile
        $(MAKE) -C enet/ all
then i'll build it with
Code:
CFLAGS="-O2 -fPIC" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -fPIC" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib64 -L/lib64" make

tried to do one (helped by AST)

http://omploader.org/vMnpjNw/bloodfrontier.tar.gz

unpack it, download B2 in the same folder, and launch it with
Code:
ARCH=x86_64 TAG=shylock ./bloodfrontier.SlackBuild
(by default is set for i686 ARCH)

tried and working fine (or at least it looks like ) on slack64 current.

Cool thanks will let you know. AST seems a handy tool, didn't know about that.

EDIT: WOah.. It works! Thanks again. Tested this in my slack64 and runs smooth.
This deserves to be at slackbuilds for other slackers to enjoy. You should really submit it. Just a thought.

Aquaria now has a Linux port. And it's free until January 13th!

http://www.bit-blot.com/forum/index.php?topic=1928

The Windows version is one of the best games I've ever played.

Here's the trailer:
