Aterm and Slackware

Hi,

I've built aterm into my Slack 9.1 using BlackBox 0.65. But whenever i try to use teh command clear aterm says to me: 'aterm': unknown terminal type.

This isn't the opnly problem i got with aterm. My vi is crazy with it. But i think i can fix configuring the rc of Vi.

i'd be glad if you could help me out.

In the aterm source tarball, there's an entry that you should add to /etc/termcap. Then when calling aterm, you use the -tn option to specify the terminal name.

You can find the details in this thread:

Enjoy!

Hey, no problem. I get really bugged when people ask the same question over and over, but I only knew the solution was there because I posted it. And even so, I had a little trouble finding it :-)

Enjoy!
