Amarok broken after update in slackpkg - need libtag

Hello Everyone,

There was an update to Amarok on Sunday to restore support for ipods (I believe that was the reason for the update.) After the update, Amarok will not open with this complaint:

Code:
amarok: error while loading shared libraries: libtag-extras.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
This is usually just an error where the path to the library is wrong, but in this case the library indeed does not exist. I found it easily in the slack current packages, but NONE of the mirrors will find it (I get a "cannot access: no such file" on every mirror). SlackBuilds has it, but it is the wrong version (0.1.2 but I need 0.1.3).

Anyone know how to resolve this? Can I use the version from SlackBuilds?
I like to use amarok while I am working.

Thanks for any replies.

Bob

Thanks, Eric, I have now with your link. For some reason, none of the mirrors would let me download it.

It opens now just fine, but with this tag:

Quote:
There are exceptions caught in the script 'Librivox.org'. Please refer to the log.
I will have to just wait and see if this is something to deal with or if I can just ignore it. It appears to be working now. I guess it is going to take a while to get all of the little niggles out of the new KDE 4.1.4, as there are a couple of other little things that this upgrade has created, but nothing serious.

Thank you again for your help

Bob

i also have similar errors when amarok 2.1 first opens up.

There are exceptions caught in the script 'Librivox.org'. Please refer to the log.

There are exceptions caught in the script 'Lyricwiki'. Please refer to the log.

Amarok seems to run fine and has no issues playing back any music.

Has anyone got any idea what might me causing this situation.

thanks todders
