I am just wondering if anyone has successfully added MusicBrainz to their Amarok installation in Slackware 12.1? The MusicBrainz website seems to suggest downloading picard, which is a separate program. I installed that and it works with moderate success, because i dont think i have libdiscid installed properly.
I would like to have the function working in Amarok though, it seems to be quicker and easier for me. I downloaded libmusicbrainz-3.0.2, which needs libdiscid, but i could not get this to work. I used
cmake .
make
sudo make install
and it seems to have worked fine, but it is not there when i view pkgtool.
I also need libtunepimp, which has dependencies of libofa and libcurl. I dont seem to be able to compile these two either, "make" finishes with Error [2].
