Alternative bootdisk

Running a lappy with slackware 10.1(well trying to). Want to know what alternatives there are to floppies for bootdisks as lappy doesn't have a fdd. Have a usb 1GB flash drive.
Btw not a dual boot system, Slackware only.
Thanks again
Cheers Edd

Check what the BIOS supports. Usually if you enter BIOS you can configure boot priority, which will show the devices. Recent devices may well support USB memory (maybe as USB-ZIP, USB-HDD). CD is usually easiest though. Also check network boot (e.g. PXE) frm another machine.

If you have DOS/Windows installed you might be able to get LOADLIN installed to boot up a Linux image.
