Alien Bob's slackware64-current-install-dvd.iso not install

So I downloaded the latest slackware64-current-install-dvd.iso from Alien Bob's mirror -- the one created on 2012Sep09, and was going to install it on a 64-bit machine.

I've using Eric's -current iso images a few times all successfully before; except this time, after choosing "full" mode and pressed OK to install, the installer _instantly_ jumped into the end of the installation with the notice: "SETUP COMPLETE - System configuration and installation complete. You may EXIT setup and reboot your machine with ctrl-alt-delete."

Of course nothing was actually installed.

I was using the 'pre-mounted directory" install method.

Anybody else experienced the same issue?

Are you sure the path to pre-mounted directory was correct? If it's incorrect the installer goes to the next step without installing packages.

That's it -- we have to used /iso/slackware64 instead of /iso. Well, this is an easy error to make, since using /iso the installer also list the series to install. I don't know why in the past I haven't made this mistake.

Maybe for not repeating this error, we can make the installer issue a notice that the path must be /path/to/slackware{,64}? It's only an added line in the same box when we input the pre-mounted dir.

Just a suggestion.

The installer says this in the box where we input the pre-mounted dir:

"... You will need to type in the name of the directory containing the subdirectories for each source disk."

I think we can added some words for this to immediately catch users' attention. Maybe this:

"... You will need to type in the name of the directory containing the subdirectories for each source disk (typically it's /path/to/slackware{,64})."
