Unfortunately, even on youtube, the quality of html5 is significantly worse than that of flash. I have in mind mainly the lower resolution and lack of deinterlacing.

Now, perhaps, Adobe will update their .pdf reader for Linux.

Nah, probably too much to wish for.....

OMG, Flash is officially a zombie....Well The Walking Dead does start a new season the third week of Oct.

PS: I'm not crying, that was the closest emoji to a zombie, could have used jawa I guess.

Hi,

I don't succeed to install the flash player beta on Slackware64-current yet i have backed-up the old flash and installed the beta version in /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/
But the plugin is not recognized by Firefox !

Have you tried Alien Bob's package for current? It can be found here,

Should be simple. Just drop it in the plugin directory and restart Firefox.

That's what I thought. But although the plugin is recognised, it does not work.

May have to do with the current version of glibc-2.24 as noted earlier in this thread:
http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/view...?f=104&t=40455

I should mention that I use a multilib system.

Firefox might need the installation directory and library symlinked to the plugins directory. I remembered this was a problem with Java a while back.

I just copied the library to the plugin directory. Which installation directory do you mean?

The directory if you just untarred the flash archive into /(root).
