acroreader slack 13 x86_64 package ?

Hi all,

I'm having probs with the 32bit package (library issues).
When I change my slackbuild file (i486 --> x86_64) he can't find an .so file in the /usr/lib .. when I make a symlink from /usr/lib/xxxxxxx.so --> /usr/lib64/xxxx.so it's now working because he's expecting a 32 bit library I think.

Can someone point me to a working acroreader for slackware 13.0 x86_64 package ?

Before slackware went 64 bit I used SLAMD, they included 32 bit libraries as well and acroreader worked.

thx for helping out

If needed I can provide the exact libary thats giving a problem.

According the SBo README, it simply doesn't work on x86_64 and you can look into 32 bit libs for Slackware64 here: http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/...kware:multilib

Just repeating what I've found - not what I know first hand. So far I'm happy with pure 64 on my one 64 box.

Why are you using acroreader? I'm curious, since I never used it on Linux. Kpdf/Okular/Evince were just enough for me.

In order to get 32-bit Acroread to compile and install on Slackware64, you need both multilib and compat32. Alienbob's website has the info.

Both Acroread and its 32-bit mozilla plugin are working on my Slackware64 system.
